Number/Type of Tension Bolts

Hey Guys,

I'm (most likely) going to be building a crazy frankenmotor that's basically S5 TII housings with S5 N/A rotors, give or take...

Since I'm dropping this in my FB, I don't have a reference engine to look at.

I was over at Mazdatrix and noticed there are four types of tension bolts. Short and Long, Ribbed and Regular.

How many of each type would, say, an S5 TII engine need?

Jon

If I remember correctly, its like 18 short and 1 long. Though 1 of the short ones should be special and have some tubing around the ribs, this one is either the lower left or lower right tension bolt.

The ribbed ones are better as the ribs are there to prevent some vibration issues.

Are you going to run N/A or Turbo?
