All right, I've searched with every combination of reference words I can think of, and I cannot find a thread that recites number of rx7's, specifically 2nd gen's, made each year. More specifically, how many TII's in each of 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1991.

I know it's in here somewhere, but I hereby surrender to searching and ask all my learned colleagues for assistance.

Don't know if you'll find the # of turbos's produced anywhere, may want to ask Mazda. They told me verbally how many convertibles were made but would not put it in writing.

 

so how many convertibles was that? I thought the 1st generation RX7 was being played out and that's why they made the 2nd gen, it looks like in 1985 plenty of RX7s were bought even if its competition was starting to take over. Whats the 1992 RX7....2nd gen, right? I never hear of a 92 rx7.

 

some of the '92's were 2gen convertibles, but in japan they were 3gen's.

 

there was no 1992 rx-7's. sales from 1992 were carried over from the previous year. that is in america at least.
