Sorry to burst your bubble but I highly doubt the FC your picking up is JDM by most standards.

The term JDM is usually meant to describe a part or car that was designed for the use in Japan and has been imported over to the US and everyone thinks it "COOL".

Now if you think of JDM as a Japanese car desigend for the US then ok.

1. This forum's FAQ and/or google for buyer's guides.
2. Haynes manual or FSM in this forum's FAQ. Do all maintenance items. Use only O&M thermostats. Pay special attention to cooling system maintenance.
3. If your coolant or oil is empty, or you're about to overheat, pull over immediately to avoid losing your engine. Always keep coolant and oil topped off.
4. Handling: springs, shocks, sway bars, bushings, DTSS. There is no "best". Stiffer handles better but is more uncomfortable. Softer handles worse but is more comfortable. It's up to your preference.
5. Power: catalytic converter, mufflers, 5th and 6th ports, VDI, cold air intake.

Use forum search tool for more info on above or any questions/problems you might have.

mate
pull the motor out and do a Bridge port or go Peripherial Port..
then get a Microtech from Aus, and injectors, fuel pump, and a tune, then ur set...
or see how a high comp motor goes wit a stock turbo setup on 5-6Psi, high comp+ boost= crazy *** fun.

If you overheat, pull over... AND DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAR.

At least this is what my mechanic tells me, because he learned the hard way -- warped rotor housings. When my car started heating up at a rallycross, he kept the car running, opened the hood, and sprayed down the radiator.
