Now it won't crank.

Has anybody had a problem with you car not even wanting to crank? There's at least some battery power. The voltage might be low, but I'm getting all of my idiot lights. The other issue might be the cutoff connected to the clutch, has anybody seen this before?

The engine requires a lot more electrical load than the idiot lights, brake lights, head lights, etc. If the battery isn't above a certain amount of amps/volts then no matter what the car wont start. People tend to think that even if the battery has a little bit left in it, it should still work and it is the starter that is bad. That isn't always the deal. Try charging the battery then check if it cranks. If it still doesn't then replace the starter.

Jump the starter solinoid. (tap wire from 12v + to the smaller wire on the starter) If it cranks them check your wiring. If not then its your starter, or a deader than a little dead battery. Charge the battery all the way up before you do this. If its wiring go through all your fuses first then check your main relay, followed by the clutch switch, ignition switch, and so on. Its probably something simple.

Stupid question..did you Press the clutch in before starting?..That is what the safety switch is for!..The car needs Good connections to the Starter in over to roll over.Battery connections,Starter terminals must be Tight and clean..you may want to check continuity between the Points of connection to..say from the negative to the Block, with an Ohm meter..and from the Positive to starter..If that is off the wire is bad and should be replaced, the Connection cleaned or Whatever.the Hitting the starter Bit.That only shows you that the starter is Going or is shot.It could have a bad spot on it,and when it gets to that spot, then you get Zip...another thing is Try is to Move the Car(bump it abit with another vehicle.) with the Starter Engaged .Ignition On,..then that moves the starter to a New point on the Flywheel, and the Starter's Stator..and it may just may fire it up then.
