now my 87 n/a wont start

now my 87 n/a wont start

at first it wouldnt stay running now it wont start and its flooded.i havent ran it in a few days(caliper problem)and tried to two days ago and it wouldnt saty on now today it wont start and i smell gas very badly so i think its flooded.any help please.

Try to unflood it. Your fuel filter could be clogged too causing it to not have enough fuel to stay on. Put some fresh gas in there also

pull the egi fuze push the gas pedal all the way down and turn the engine over for 10 sec and then repeat. afterwards put the fuze back this should take care of the flooding problem.

you dont have to repeat after you put the fuse back in, oh, unless you dont have two people. but it usually catches right when you put the fuse back in.

thats not what i was tryin to say. Its usually just my preference but i crank the engine twice before i put the fuze back in

when you say it wont stay on? do you mean it dies after you start it? if so, just give it A LITTLE gas to keep the RPMs above 1000. mine died on me every time i started it when it was cold.
sometimes i would just let it die becuase i didnt know which way was right.
