Notchy shifting

Hey guys... when my tranny is cold, i find it difficult to put it into gears... once it warms up... its not bad... except it is somewhat notchy... i think its due to worn out synchros... but not too sure... can i use Redline fluid to improve this? If so, what kind? I live in Ottawa, Ontario, and i dont plan to drive this car in the winter. (TOO MUCH BLOODY SALT!!!)

I had the same problems as you. Shifting while the tranny was cold, would be very notchy and once it was warmed up it would be fine. Yesterday I put some redline fluid into the tranny. It felt like my tranny was new. Shifting was very smooth, even when cold. Do a search for redline fluids and youll find alot of people with the same symptoms are you. Peace.

A lot of people use Redline's MT-90, but since your up in Ottawa, Ontario, go with Redline's 75W-90NS.
