Question Not your typical TB Mod question

On my NA, I removed the Secondary Throttle Plates and left It at that. I didn't mess around with the Thermowax nor the Fast Idle Cam etc. Just the Plates. I found to have excellent startups, driveability and so on without any consequences, seeing how the Plate removal Is where your gains are anyway.

On my TII TB, I removed the Secondaries but I want to go further by removing the actual rod and Dashpot for them but leave the Thermowax and Fast Idle on.

By doing this, I want to plug up the hole In the front but am contemplating whether or not to plug the rear hole; the one that goes to and through the Thermowax.

Should I? If I don't, will that leave a big vacuum leak? I hypothesize It won't...

If you remove the shaft and leave the thermowax on, you only need to block the fron hole as the thermowax covers the rear one and keeps it airtight. I did this and it works perfectly. Improved throttle response and perfect cold idle.

Excellent Jason...just the answer I was wanting (and thinking) of.

I speculated the Themowax would seal the rear hole but wanted confirmation. Thanks!
