let me start off by saying that my car is hard to start, but when i get it started, the idle slowly rises to 1.5k and gallops between 1.5k-2k, even when its warm. i heard that the car is supposed to rise to 3k and then drop back down to 750 where it will stay at idle after it warms up. my problem is that it doesnt idle right, as explained above. i have changed all the hoses and have everything airtight. what else could be causing this problem?

 

The TPS is probably the culprit of this. Or a vaccume leak. This is the most common type of idle problem and is talked about just about every day.

 

i think its weird that at the same time it is hard to start, something else has got to be wrong, only if i knew.
