Ok I was putting in injectors and noticed a black connector that I have no memory what so ever of unpluging that is grouped together with the primary injector clips having trouble finding it in the online FSM .

Hrmmm....well you got me so excited I wasnt even thinking lol. The o2 sensor is definetly connected...but it is more square than the one I have no idea about. Ill try to grab another pic or two...

Edit: Ok well I have misplaced the camera. The o2 sensor clip from this car s5 coupe and my s5 vert are both a square/rectangular shape. They run to the front of the intake into the group of wires that run into the firewall next to the charcoal canister. This connector is on top of the engine with the primary injector clips (and reaches about the same length too) underneath the intake.

Edit #2: Could it be something for cruise control? The coupe does not have it and the inside of the connector is dirty like it has been unplugged for quite some time. Though I was hoping that is the reason for its quirkiness

Ok wont let me edit again....well I have ruled out cruise control (not really but I do not think that would reach) ....could it possibly be where the automatic transmission wiring harness goes? I do not see that the manual has one and this is the only thing I can come up with that makes any sense.

I don't know why people post photos of coneectors, since many of them look the same. The wire colour is how you confirm what goes where.

From the description I'm going to guess the wire is green with a black stripe. It goes to the temp switch on the back of the water pump next to the ECU thermosensor, and is for the auxiliary electric fan in front of the A/C condensor. If your car didn't come with the fan, it won't have the sensor either, hence the space connector.

Hey thanks for the tip! Not going to be posting any connector pictures again any time soon.... I didnt think about wire color though because the gray covering over it. Shows how green I am lol.
