Not really a leak but

Ok I have a 88 Vert and don't exactly know how to explain this but here goes. I am having problems. behind the drivers and passengers doors when the top and the painted car meet theres a big hole in the roof. I assume watter goes in here and then drains from the bottom. Mine is not draining. It has looked the same since I bought it and I have never had this problem before. Am I correct is the water supposed to go in here, then drain from the bottom? Any suggestions on what to do?

Look for the drain hole (should be at the "low spot" of any channels that the water would flow in), inspect for debris, blow some pressurized air through it...
