Not new to the rx7 but new to turbo rx7's newbie questions.

I own a s5 turbo 2 with a jdm motor.

First whats the differences between the usdm motor and jdm one?
Ive tried to find the info to no end...
One thing i do know is it doesnt have a fuel cut.

Any links would be great.

More questions to come.

I spent a minute searching and found some info. Google is a big help.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-turbo-980749/

There's no major differences, just minor things and emissions.

jdm s5 block unknown internals, hybrid/upgraded turbo unknown specs as of now, internal bov, stock manifold, stock jdm s5 ecu tuned to 12psi by KS Engineering same place as rebuild, racing beat down pipe/test pipe, intake filter, Bov stock tmic for now, i dont know rebuild specs but it is jdm everything, no fuel cut, walbro 255

Question is can i run these spare rc racing injectors i have sitting around there 650cc, on my secondary fuel rail, because the stock one in there are old and not in the best shape

Whats a good boost gauge to get?
Boost Controller?
Fuel Controller?
Fpr?
Fuel filter?
Were can i get a total new emissions deplete kit so i can redo what was done already?
Ect...

I just am trying to figure out what more i should get, also ive seen and am familiar with racing beats products whats a few of there simple mods that will make the car last longer oil, cooling, ect...?

Boost gauge won't really matter, just get whatever you like.
You can manage boost off of the stock wastegate spring, a manual boost controller, or an electronic one. Manual (mbc) is the cheapest way to crank the boost easily, ebc's are nice but a lot more money and not exactly needed.
Fuel controller? Are you considering an aftermarket ecu or a piggyback? For my build I chose a haltech computer. It's nice to have full control of my system and to get away from the stock computer.
I have an aeromotive fpr. Very high quality and definitely worth the money! no complaints..

Stock ECU is not tunable. JDM or otherwise. The only exception I know of being Rtek 2.x series modified ecu's. Hope they ported the turbo wastegate while they were in there.

Those injectors will make the car run richer above 3800rpm. Probably not rich enough to cause misfires, but definitely way richer than necessary because of the walbro-induced higher fuel pressure. Since you have an unknown hybrid turbo, it's hard to say what will work.

If you do get a tunable ecu, you'll probably want to go bigger than 650's because you won't get much more power out of those injectors. Really depends on your power goal for the car and get everything to support that number.

For plugs, use 7's and 9's. Or all 9's if you're making lots of power. I don't find the platinums necessary, but it's personal preference.

Here's the details of your knight sport modified ecu. Yes, it does exist. You are not nuts.

Google Translate : http://www.knightsports.co.jp/

If you want your car to run correctly, keep everything exactly the same as the ecu is a modified unit and only programmable by knight sports I believe. If you want to change your injectors, turbo, etc. look into a programmable ecu wether it be a modified oem unit like the rtek or a standalone like the powerfc.

What could the little black wire be for sticking out of the ecu's side?
Maybe something like this below, what is this?

Does this make any sense to anyone?

I will also post a pic of the taped on paper instructions in japanese later have to pull it again. And of the whole unit.

Does anyone know how to read japanese?
Can anyone confirm KS Engineering is Knights Sports?

I can understand why you guys scream WHY? its cause i cant go standalone yet, im in debt and this is what i got, gotta work with it for now, plus if i know what i have i could sell it later down the line.

(knights sport ecu description) below from there site

ADVANCE
Corresponding to the normal vehicle only turbine, it is possible to set the boost in the computer "4 · BEAT TYPE ADVANCE". Without the need for a boost controller retrofit by changing the boost map in addition to the basic performance of a basic, boost-up it is possible. You can boost pressure can be set up until ※ 1.0kg/cm2 while ensuring the safety margin to ensure high response power up and also easily.
※ It is not likely to be able to respond in advance to be set up depending on the specifications of the vehicle 1.0kg/cm2.
In that case, I is controlled by the controller based on the basic boost.

Corresponding to the vehicles equipped with large-capacity turbine "4 · BEAT TYPE COMPETITION". Including configuration changes limiter various implementing release of rev limit, the release of the boost limit basic, as well as advanced, Fyn and ignition timing associated with the type of turbine, the turbine size - it is to ensure the optimization of El Control, Safety I bring out the engine potential while ensuring 100% margin.
