The wires on the left of the plug which you highlighted in Green are for the Back up/Reverse lights. No reason to hook them up to the starter switch of the ECU.

EDIT: Engine fuse powers the Main relay, Circuit Opening relay, Alternator, and Torque Convertor lock up.

Finding a short. Post #4 https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...egi+fuse+blows

hmm i thought the red ones that are highlighted are for the reverse lights and the green is the neutral gear signal.

I guess it could depend on the perspective as looking into the front of the plug or from behind. The wiring diagram indicates the B/Y wire and the R/G wire are for the reverse lights while B/W and B/R are for startup purposes. If I confused you and got it wrong from looking at your diagram I apologize.

EDIT: Shouldn't your manual transmission have its own Reverse Light switch?

Not to confuse you, but the Black/Red wire from the ignition switch is running to where? I would think you would want the B/W wire and the B/R wire of the Inhibitor switch involved only if the car was staying as an auto otherwise it is to be bypassed. This is what makes sense to me.

EDIT: Seems if the Interlock switch, Starter Cut relay and Inhibitor switch were all bypassed the B/R wire coming from the ignition switch would go to the paired wire that takes one end to the starter solenoid and the other end to the ECU (starter signal).

The black/red wire from the ignition is wired to the starter solenoid.

Soo the b/w should be rerouted to the ecu? Or the b/r? Not really getting it at this point

Whatever wire goes to the starter solenoid gets to go to the ECU as well.

The wire that goes to the starter then goes to the ECU (pin 3B) then onto the Circuit Opening relay. All three receive voltage w/key to start.

I touched on it yesterday, but to repeat again, there are two B/W wires going to the Circuit Opening relay as stated per the FSM. Looking at the plug the upper left B/W wire comes from the ECU (voltage w/key to start) while the top center B/W (voltage w/key to on) wire comes from the Engine fuse.

In place of the 15 amp fuse? If so you could borrow the Illumination fuse.
