Normal or Firm Suspension

I have an 87 RX7 and I need to order a rear brake caliper--how can I tell if the car has a "firm" or "normal" suspension which each take a differant caliper?

in autoparts stores computers they are listed goofy if you have 5 lug wheels tell them you have th firm set up bt if you only have 4 lug wheels tell them that you have the normal set up this will get you the correct calipers from a local auto parts store.

On S4 models, if you have 5 lug wheels you have Firm or Heavy Duty suspension in the parts books (its not really the case-its just how aftermarket parts suppliers break down the difference).

Also on S4 models if you have 4 lug wheels you have the normal suspension

adding on to what Icemark said, Vented 5 lug rotors are firm, solid 4 lug rotors are normal.

I recently went through this with NOPI that's how I know the difference.

Adding to what you said...Non vented rear 5 lug rotors are also normal suspension.
