noob gauge questions

Installing a boost gauge: the vacuum hose that I tee off of, is it the one that connects the manifold and the stock BOV?

Wiring up power: should i wire my gauges to the light bulb next to the cigarette lighter or the cigarette lighter itself? Should it be in series or parallel?

Gauge cluster lighting: my stock gauge lights are sometimes working, sometimes not. Just need to bang my console a bit. What should I be checking/fixing? It seems to be the logicon and the stock gauge cluster working/not working at the same time. Radio is always lighted.

Thanks for all them great replies in advance.

no, connect it to a nipple off the manifold itself, there are some nipples that wont give an accurate reading, cant remember them, jus search for it man

Let me clarify my question:
http://www.fc3s.org/how_tos/accessor...ost_gauge.html
Is that vacuum hose the one connecting the UIM and the stock BOV?

Another question:
My autometer afr gauge has red, purple, and black coming off of it. Obviously black goes to ground. Now from red and purple, which goes to voltage source and which goes to ecu pin?

yup thats the vacuum hose off the manifold. i dont think u connect any wires to the ecu pin, red is 12v source, purple is switch source, just wire the purple to your ignition source, or the light from the cigarrette lighter if u only want the light to turn on with ur headlights.
