Is it just not accurate, or doesn't move at all?

Doesn't move at all, if it works, I dont think its accurate. I filled her up last week, barely drove her 60 miles, if the gauge works its like at 3/4.

That's normal. I can fill up and drive home from the station and the needle is off of full.

Our senders are not exactly young anymore, guys, and they are made of moving parts, after all

Well if you ever actually looked at the sender you would realise why its inacurate or doesnt work. Its basicly a lil arm hooked to a float that moves past a copper wound peice of plastic (Variable Resistor) the copper wire is hooked to you gauge and the difference in resistance is how it tells how much fuel you have. Unfortunetly the copper wire wears and breaks in spots over time, so it may read only when you have a certian ammounts of fuel or not read at all. Since they dont even make componets like these any more (Trust me I looked hard) you have to buy a whole new sender for the gauge to work right again.
