Both of you should easily be in the 13s, it just depends on who will do it first.
Nitrous is cheating though BTW, but tons of fun. |
Indeed it's cheating, but it's gonna gaurantee I get there! :) I'll be done with my car in a couple of months or less.

Originally posted by SonicRaT I'll be running standalone, huge monster port, act 6 puck, cone intake, 4.1 limited slip (wish i could get a 4.3), probably custom single exhaust, agx shocks, alum flywheel, pineapple sleeves, ported intakes, tb mod, stripped interior (keeping carpetting, nothing else though), pulling the dash and removing every peice of dead weight I can behind it, manual steering rack, lightweight rims, and a 75shot to make sure I get there. ;) |
Eh, I was commenting on the other guy asking for a 13sec N/A. You're right, an unstripped N/A is gonna need a hell of a lot of help getting down the track in 13s

Originally posted by hornbm Ever heard of Jesus Padilla? He runs a 10.25 quater mile in the all motor class. no turbo, super or NOS. His car is an 85 GSL-SE with a n/a 20b in it. Hows that for N/A being slow? Thats splendid! But lets try to confine this discussion to what is realstic and what isnt, shall we? The average joe cant afford to put a 20b in thier car. And I believe we are discussing the average joe. The 13B vs the 13BT. And if your talking bounce to the ounce, the turbo car has it, the N/A doesnt. Anyways, this is getting blown WAYYYYYY outta proportion. Jarrett |
The FB also weighs a *HELL* of a lot more than an FC, and the 20B sure the hell puts out more power than the 13B found in N/A FC's. They call this the second gen section for a reason.

Do these cars not handle N2O very well? |
Wouldn't it just be as simple as finding out what the TPS puts out, program your control module and go?
Excuse me for the noob questions but I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a 2nd gen non-turbo for $700 and all my knowledge is piston/cylinder based. I have only a few days to learn what I can before I loose my chance on this deal. |

i own both an na and a tii... the tii is definately more powerful, but my na is lighter and has. I learned to drive 7's in a TII and would not reccommend this... Get yourself an NA. I have one thats going to be for sale here soon, 86 GXL 170,000 NO SMOKE = good things, you can compression check if you like. Asking 1,800.... should be up for sale in a couple days, if your interested.
