Non turbo FC weight?

When you completely gut a non turbo FC, how much does it weigh? I'm trying to get an idea of what the "race weight" of an FC would be. I tried searching but I came up with nothing.

2700-ish for an NA hard top stock, and verts are 300 lbs heavier. Bench-racing, that would put the hard top in at a shade under 2000.(judging by the aforementioned 2200lb vert)

Stripped verts are lighter. The top on the vert is 200+ lbs alone, well alone the A pillar and windshield removed subtract another 150lbs.

On a 88 coupe you should be able to get it down to around 2400 pretty easy.

Yep. Mine is just under 2400 dry and that's with a full cage. I could go lighter but race classes have minimum weight and they also dictate how much ballast you can run and often where you can put it. Just b/c you can get it to a certain weight may not do you all that good. I even have the heavy steel hood on still!

I've read reports of coupe EP cars weighing about 2000lbs dry. That's with fiberglass fenders, hood, bumpers, hatch frame, lexan windwhield, hatch, gutted doors, no side windows, with a cage, sound deadening removed, only one very light seat, no stock interior whatsoever, etc.

Realistically, a street driven car with glass can probably be made to weigh about 2400lbs.

I have 95% of the sound deadening removed in my car, no carpets, one bucket seat, and miscellaneous odds and ends removed in my TII.

With driver and half tank of gas, I'm pushing just over 2900lb.

My '91 N/A track car, gutted interior, autopower roll bar, headers and open exhaust is right at 2400 with half a tank of gas. I still have a power sunroof and power windows, which will save a little weight when I get rid of them, but it will gain a little weight when the cage goes in. SCCA ITS race weight for these cars is 2680 w/driver.

My S5 TII with half a tank of gas is just shy of 2900.

The only weight reduction in it period is that the ABS pump is gone and my Recaro seats are lighter than the stock seats.
