non rounded custom exhaust

my car needs work. lots of work. i've done a little searching, but i have a few questions...

the first thing i need to first on my 88 N/A is my exhaust. it is rusted and holy and the left tip "fell" off because of rust. i want to replace the exhaust myself. i have an alright setup in my garage as for working on my car. i do not have a mandrel bender, which leads to my first question. is it very effecient for me to cut tubing, probably between 2.5 and 3, and then weld it together making an "angular" exhaust, without curves because of the lack of a mandrel bender or tubing bender? i would most likely replace my cats with higher flow cats, and remain with duals. also i would probably run a cat back mufflers. or do you think that not having curves in my exhaust should i not run mufflers at all? i dont want a extremely loud car, so i think running straight pipes after the cats would be too loud. i would just like to hear your opinion and what you think would be the best route for me. thanks

Just get pre mandrel bent tubes, pretty cheap and there you go a mandrel bent exhaust.
Check out www.burnsstainless.com

or google mandrel bent tubing.
