Arrow Nobody Here Can Tell Me Where the Fuel Pump Relay

I've looked this forum over a dozen times trying to find out where the fuel pump relay is on an 88 N/A Rx7 is. I have looked a several but the parts described does not resemble the actual part from the parts stores which happens to be the same part at all the stores. Also, finding a link to an FSM is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Downloaded the FSM and there is no reference to a part known as "Fuel Pump Relay". Some post's refer to it as the "Circuit Opening Relay" on the steering column. However, it does not resemble the Fuel Pump Relay.

There's a fuel pump relay and resistor found on S4 turbos (under the AFM), but not S4 NA's. All S5's have them, S4 turbos ,yes, but no S4 NA's.

CA

The fuel pump is turned on by the fuel pump relay (By air filter assy.) and the fuel pump relay is turned on by the circuit opening relay (under dash by steering assy.).

The resistor relay isn't there on the NA, it's just a straight line from the circuit opening relay, the circuit opening relay is attatched by the steering column.

Ok, but a post just above the writer says that S4 N/A's do not have a fuel pump relay. The parts houses all carry or can order one and I cannot find anything that resembles that "Fuel Pump Relay" anywhere on the car. There are other posts that say the same as the above one all in this forum.

The diagram in post #8 is for the turbo. Okay? The S4 NA does not have this relay.

There's a relay under the dash that switches the fuel pump. I think it's black. It commonly cut into to make fuel cut switches...

Page 50-36 of the 1988 FC Electrical manual shows the circuit for the non-turbo car. The shape and wire color for the relay connector (F-08) is shown on the same page. The location of the F-08 connector is under the dash as shown on page 50-37.

I don't see the big problem here.
