Im a new daddy to an 86 gxl with an 88 jdm tII engine, its supposedly ran before, the guy I got it from says good compression just not getting any spark now after sitting for almost 2 years, He thinks its the ecu. Im wondering if anyone has any ideas or where I can start, or if someone would let me pay for shipping from and to or in RENO, and swap it out see if it works before i spend alot more than shipping on another one. ok first check if your rpms jump if they dont its a cpu check if you have spark on the top coil pack and one closes to the brake cylinder , no spark thats the computer . check if u have spark on the bottom coil next to the battery if it dosent spark you probably have a bad DIS usually if ur rpms dont jump and the top coil aint sparking its your computer.
