no sound at redline

when i redline my s5 it dose not make that sound?
why?
where to start looking

the buzzer is located on the back of the gauge cluster. u can go to radio shack and solder in a new one or be happy like some people that u dont have to listen to the damn thing

I used to hate it, but now I'm used to it. It does get annoying in say 3rd gear though because you're going to hear it longer before you shift.

i like Tofuball's opinion, but think of it this way, do you really need the buzzer to tell you when you red line? some people don't. if you can tell by listening to your motor/glancing at the tach i wouldn't worry about it, but if you get excited while driving and forget to keep an eye/ ear on it, then fixing the buzzer is much preferred to fixing your motor.

its also a warning buzzer for low oil and coolant
