No reverse

No reverse
Backed my 88 Vert out of the garage and parked it. No problems. Later I went to back up and I could not engage reverse. Drove it to town to get the mail, still I could not get it to shift to reverse after parking.
All the forwards gears work with no problem.
What's going on?
