No results :(

i spent the Weeked tearing apart the turbo off the car, man those heat shields are a bitch...

anyway, tore it down, stock wastegate is about 15mm, i ported it to 22ish mm and welded a washer to the flapper... removed the twin scroll flapper and plugged the hole and put it all back together..

only to realize i didn't rotate the turbo enough for the return line to reach.. and had to take it allll apart again... MAN what a pain in the *** that was... SOB!

anyways point is it's all back together.. it seemed ok for a couple days,

obviously the car is slower now that it's not creeping as much... (tho end of 4th it still hits fuel cut sometimes)

but now the boost seems to come on Really late... like i have a big laggy turbo.. I make like 2 psi at 4,000 RPM

all of First gear has almost no boost at all.... I'm thinking the washer fell off

at the top of gears I can still make 6-7 psi tho.. just seems to come on really late..

even before Porting the WG.. while it crept.. the car had nothing, rpm seemed kinda lazy and then BOOM at 5,000 RPM dynamite in ur *** and the rpm just dips like hell...

I'd read 5-6 psi at 3,500 rpm but wouldn't feel much in the *** dyno till 5,000

is this normal?

oh and while i was at it... after the WG I tossed the stock bov plugged the TID, and rigged up a 2nd hand Blitz BOV..

but there's no PSHHTTT sound..

i floor it and let go, and nothing... (6,000 rpm WOT slam the plate shut and nothing) I don't hear compressor surge... i don't hear BOV.. nothing... I tried loosening the bolt on top no diff.

How much Boost do I need to hear the BOV? 5-6 psi isn't enough? or it could be part of the leaking wastegate problem....

any ideas?

*cliff notes: what's ur boost/power curve supposed to be like on a 88 TII and can u hear ur BOV on ur car with near stock boost levels?*

If you don't like lag, why did you remove the twin-scroll flap on a stock turbo?

I don't mind the lag if i get all the power in the end...

the twin scroll wasn't working anyway..(ever since i owned the car)

I have a 3" DP to exhaust straight pipe all the way to a single cannon out the back

I read that removing the Twin scroll and having an unrestrictive exhaust would compensate enough for not having it...

any idea about the BOV issue?
