i picked up my 86 a few weeks ago and have not had a problem with it. now i have the the ps not work two times on me and while that happened there was a beeping noise along with it.

the power steering works fine pretty much all the time. this has happened only when i first start the car. it seems to fix it if i move the car forward a little.

symptoms: no ps assistance and a nice beep noise while its happening.

any ideas?

In that thread, it covers the number of the beeps and that will tell you what the problem with the power steering is.
