no more a/c

no more a/c

so I was checkin out the a/c on my 88 gxl for the 1st time, kinda cold, when I turned it off it let out the biggest cloud of frion ever.. that didnt f my car up did it?

hmm, might have had a faulty pressure sensor is the system and caused it to over-pressurize....

if you can't see a big hole anywhere and plan on making it work you're going to need to get whatever blew apart, a new reciever/dryer as well a pressure sensor (more than likely) and some diagnosis time as well as charging at a shop setup to do it.

See I suspect that he got a cloud of condensation out of the vents... that is why I was asking where the freon was coming from.

yeah it definately blew out intense, not positive on freon but i was sitting in my car when it happened, cant find any leaks or a hole. f some a/c, Im new to the rx7 family and I love the car, its an n/a but when the engine spins up its a beautiful sound, its got a k&n filter injection kit and other than that is stock, what next?

yeah, again... where did it blow out of???

The vents????

If so, its not freon, but rather condensation

Whats next is a Magnaflow exhaust like me. God my car sounds sweet.

it blew out in the engine def in the front of it.. im set on ripping the system out, but if its a cheap fix ill do it, and what about test pipes on the exhaust sys. would that sound nice on the stock system?

If the air is still cold no worries, duh.

you have many options for a "test pipe" which bolts in place of the main cat. You can also hollow out your currect cats. or you can get a "downpipe" which bolts from the exhaust manifold to the end of the main cat (basically a test pipe that eliminates all 3 cats). Last option would be a header and custom pipe that does the above but also eliminates the exhaust manifold. Your car will just get louder and louder with less cats.
