However, for me, in the state that I live in, with the limitations that I have, yes for the most part a TII will be considerably heavier.

You expect to still pass emissions in Cali with the camden supercharger!? Ever notice on their site it says NOT LEGAL IN STATES WITH EMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Well actually, here's the exact quote from their HOME PAGE "Not for sale or use on emission controlled vehicles."

Do you really honestly expect to still pass? Try to add some bigger injectors and a higher flow fuel pump too! You'll really still be passing then...

You can replace your cat with an aftermarket cat in Cali.
The mods difference is typical for a Turbo II owner.
Stock mufflers and y-pipe are heavy.
Running an N1 single type cat-back is some serious weight drop.
Aftermarket cat is ligher than stock.
I used to live in Cali.
You're overstating the emissions requirements to keep the car legal.
How much you think the ACV, EGR (which no Kouki / S5 FC had), vacuum hoses / pipes, and solenoids weigh?
Don't be using emissions as an excuse...

I got failed immediately for not having a properly functioning EGR valve. Yes the stock catback and mufflers weigh a lot, but that's what, 40 lbs. savings? Who sells high-flow cats that are direct fit for the RX7? So does exhaust make up for the 300+ lb. difference between a bare-bones stock TII and my current car? Besides I wouldn't put an N1 style exhaust on my car because personally, they sound like crap to me.

No idea, I've never seen a stock cat in real life. I bought my car with an RB presilencer and put on the bonez high flow eventually. Of course now I'm running a test pipe, thats definitely lighter

I'm also interested in the torque and difference in torque. I would like a more flat torque curve so I don't have to struggle to keep the car between 6000 and 7500 when I'm autocrossing.

I chose the pump because it can "pull" you don't need to gravity feed it. It can also pump air without negative effect on it, makes it easy to bleed. They use them for water and waste pumping on RVs, so you can find them new (wouldn't want a used waste moving pump, ICK, LOL) on Ebay for like 50 bucks or so. Centripuppy pumps are also good for that. Made by Jabsco I believe.

I hold about 1.6 gallons (on purpose, lots of fluid means more linear temps throughout, result of a lot of testing on my part).

I'll snap pics tonight when I get home.

Oh, and my 7 is heavier then all of yours, so MEH! Cast Iron V8s and big *** chevy trannies will do that. I bet I weight almost 3000 lbs with a full tank and me not in it! That's a fat 7. Horrid weight balance too. LOL, just playin' guys!

I'm sorry. U'd be surprised to learn that I'm this much of a punk in person, just ask people in the NW section, ha ha. I'm crazy. U all know that, right?

Back on topic: I know Code Blue 2 (sort of) and will see her car in action at a drag strip later this month. She has the Camden 7" supercharger on it with aftermarket efi, and is predicting a 12 second quarter mile time with proper traction. That would be sweet!

More pictures of my resevoir setup.

Clear hose (so I can see flow)

Res

Res 2 (and yes, that airbox is sealed from engine heat, just doesn't look like it at this angle)

hose layout

Overall engine bay (shiiiiiiiiny!) []

That's how mine is setup. Water flows from the resevoir, to the pump (in fenderwell), to the aftercooler, to the radiator (front mount heat exchanger) back to the res, and cycles. I can drain the res. with a petcock, and it self bleeds itself. Makes it easy to maintain/fill/drain.

Hey 88IntegralLS....I can vouch that your crazy...lol j/k actually you are one hell of a smart person and very nice from what I gather...you and zach. Yeah I have a Camden and am getting real tired of some people calling them junk. So my goal is to prove some of the people wrong on this one. I had the car tuned yesterday 100% and am ready to take it out on the track on the 20th to see what its got. I know as it sits it will do 13's on the track. Problem being I cant get traction in 1st 2nd or 3rd. I will probably have some slicks for the race on the 20th "I hope anyway", otherwise Im not going anywhere but spinning. I will get to 12's, if Im already not there. Wish me luck. I will be only running with 5lbs boost on the 20th. If it doesnt do what I want it to do then i will up it to 11lbs boost and that ought to take care of things. I do think a while back Camden had their problems, but they worked hard at fixing a lot of the bugs, and still continue to improve their products. Once I reach 12sec's I don't want my car any faster. Id be happy with that for what it is. If anyone wants to check out my car feel free to go to http://www.cardomain.com/id/codeblue2...

Sorry its not a 2nd gen. Thanks for the good words 88IntergralLS

Dare to be different...

By the way...very nice setup digitalsolo

You're going to need an awfully light car to hit 12's with only 5psi.

Talking

Poor red neck, I here you talkin! After I recover from everything else I just spent I'm gonna get the camden kit too. I already love the car and Ive spent about three times what it is worth already. To each his own, some of us just don't want the same thing everyone else has.
I don't want to get flamed, but I know lots of people who smoke 2-3 packs a day, go through a case of beer a week, and think nothing of dropping $100 at a strip club every Friday night, then tell me I'm wasting my money on my car! They can do and say what they want, but at least on Monday morning I still have the car!

I figured so too. Im pretty sure by changing the pulley to 11lbs boost the car is in the 12's no prob. Traction is a huge problem. Im expecting 13 something with the 5lb boost though, and again traction being a problem. We have some slicks for it, but not streetable slicks. Im a bit concerned about using straight slicks on the car. Factors being tranny and rear end. Honestly I don't think my tranny and or rear end could handle straight slicks. Which brings more issues with this setup. I need a strong tranny and rear end to handle it. Money is an issue right now for a tranny and rear end that can handle the car. So Im thinking by next summer adding those to my list of stuff to get. Will see what happens though, and I will let ya know. I keep saying Im done, but damn if you don't find more stuff. Seems endless.

Do you have aim? Shoot me an aim sometime... my aim is in my profile. I agree with you though people spend their money all different ways....just so happens some of us spend all our money on something we truely love... "our cars". I have all faith in Camden, doesnt bother me when some say they are not good. Ive had Camdens superchargers in my car for the past 4 years, and have never had any probs. Though when I first went Camden I had the old style blower on the car. Atkins was cool and upgraded to a new blower for me. They really stand behind what they are selling....Go for it....

Yeah 13's would be easy. 12's are gonna require a little more boost
