well not having that thing could and rpobably gave you a massive vac leak. You sure it is not stuck on one of the manis? mine is stuck on the lower one. You probably get idle problems from this.

DId you get some new vaccume hoses? those will help a lot too. That new gasket should help your problems a bit. Another big problem area for vac leak is the oil injectors and that damned spider. Thank god i don't have to worry about that anymore

hehe just like the OMP, i set at work trying to figure that one out all day , then i saw someone type out oil metering pump and i was like AH HA! but i can't figure out where like 90% of those vacuum hoses go if i took the spider out

i need like a diagram to show me where to hook the wires up and which one's just to plug up when the spiders out

the big nipple on the intake just gets capped off since you no longer have the oil injecting system. But remember to put in the two stroke or else. kahbooom!!! lol

I am yet to forget to put it in and i hope inever do or I am screwed.lol I also put bolts on two of the oil injectors on the lower intake but the ones on the block i just left on and capped the little nipples on them with some vaccume caps from a kit that I bought from autozone for like 4 bux. Pre-mixing is great. I have seen no ill effects and my mileage has gone up I now get 20 more miles to the tank. I would get more but I don't like running around with one gallon of fuel.

yikes! damn i need my digi cam. are you talking about the big hose right behind the air filter? if so it's been long gone. i'm going to go read the manual and see if i can find where the oil injectors are and if they are still intact. how do i run 2 stroke if i need too? just like regular oil? (5-6 quarts, change every 2.5-3k miles?)
Pre-mixing is great
ok you just lost me, teach me about that

i also get bad gas milage. i just changed the 02 and it didnt' seeem to help much

Ok I am talking about the large vaccum hose that hooks up to the vaccume spider(not the rats nest the spider is a vaccume spliter that makes the one larger hose into four small hoses that go to the oil injectors. only the large hose is visible on the top of the intake(metal part)) What I did is eliminate the oil metering pump and the oil injection system basicaly. BUT to do this you need to run pre-mix(in other words you must put two cycle/two stroke oil in your gas tank to mix in with the fuel so that the oil still provides lubrication that is usually provided by the oil injectors) you still run regular motor oil in the engine. I will get you the link that explains it from the site i got it from. well I get 300 miles to the tank( i can proly push it to 320 but i would not want to) many things can cause bad mileage.

http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/FAQ/premix.htm

This article is the one that convinced me that I should switch to pre-mix and ditch the OMP system. It should help you a lot.

hmmmm you have a S5 car that will be harder to switche to pre-mix. You have an electrical OMP and you would need to have something bypass it. I hav ehard of a device that fools the ECU into thinking the OMP is still on there. There are kits out there that you can use to make it work but I don't have links to those sorry. S4's rule!!
