NO electrical power! NONE!!! (Searched)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ok now that, thats out of the way...

i have a 91' base, nothing special. well ive been working on it lately trying to get it out of limp mode from the OMP, well i got my new OMP and that didnt fix it. i parked the car and left it sit for about a day. well i feel like going for a quick spin so i get it and turn the key... no power, nothing! i said "ok, i probably left the door open a little and it drained the battery." i put a charger on it and it quickly jumped to 12 volts so i turned the key and the engine turned over but it was kinda weak. i had stuff to do and couldnt wait so i took it off and said id mess with it another time. then i took the ecu out to see if it was burnt and it wasnt so i put it back in today and wanted to fire it up. this time i put some jumper cables on it hooked it up to my s10 and turned the key to the "on" position. it read 12 volts on the dash and all lights were on as normal. (oh, and also i had the negative cable off for pulling the ecu and when i put it back on i heard the normal clicking from where ever it comes from like it had some power in the battery.) because it read 12 volts i tried to start it... it clicked and then all power was gone! nothing at all.

Now im stuck. ive search through all the pages it gave me and i cant find anything like this on here. theres no door lights, no dash, and no clicking when removing then putting the cables back on the battery. its a reman battery and is only about 2 months old if that. also i put the battery in the drivers side bin with the power running to the original cable. (yes it was sealed correctly. i got 7 ft. of cable and it wasnt enough and i didnt have anymore money.) and the ground goes through the frame over to the passenger side seat mounting bolt.

if you have any idea what the hell could be going on. PLEASE help me out! im lost on this one and electrical isnt my thing!

I would first start by checking your battery terminals that is the most likely cause. Just because there touching the posts doesn't mean your getting a good connection. I have had them loosely connected on cars before and you turn the key to the on position its all ok then you go to start it and the massive draw from the starter makes it loose all connection.

Charge your battery fully or get another battery. Just so you can eliminate that from your list of possible problems. Sounds like you have a bad battery (bad cell perhaps) Try that first then move on.

well it had power for a second... until i turned the key, so maybe something burnt out? but what could it have been?

I HATE electrical issues and i know almost nothing about electrical stuff.

This happened to me and it was a bad battery terminal connector. They're fine when there's not much load, but the second you really juice them up trying to start/run the vehicle, they fail on you. It was also on a new (2 months old) connector so age isn't always a factor.

It isn't the main fuse or else you would never have power for most of the things in your car.

Check for voltage on the battery terminal connectors (NOT the posts), while you're trying to start the car. I highly doubt you'll have much voltage running through there. You can put your multimeter prongs anywhere on the connector, as long as they're not touching any part of the battery; that defeats the purpose. If you don't own a multimeter, you can get an analog one for like, $10.
