No Eccentric Shaft Endplay - Tips?

So I'm almost done with the engine and got to where I was ready to measure endplay of the eccentric shaft. I have all spacers available as I have new everything, so wasn't going to count on the previous spacer in the old engine working.

I started with the K spacer (8.06mm) as it was in the middle. Get everything on and torqued down and I have no endplay whatsoever. So I go to the T spacer (8.10 mm), torque everything down and still have no endplay. There is only one thicker spacer, and theoretically, it's only going to give me 0.02 mm. So, I'm asking what could have gone wrong to cause me no endplay at all?

The only thing that has had me mildly worried is the rear counterweight had a hell of a time going on, but I think it's all the way in?

I still was able to get the rear nut on. Torqued it to 150 ft-lbs and then used aaroncake's method of going another 60 degrees. I think I got about an extra 45 degrees before I couldn't physically do it anymore.

Any thoughts on things to check? I'm quite positive the bearing inside the front stat gear is centered when I have put in the spacers.

All help appreciated. I've had to quit for the day, so I'll pick this back up tomorrow after work. I had some challenges so far, but incorrectly thought I was home free before this end play issue.

And the answer is....

My idiot self crushed the bearing. The one thing you are not supposed to do. Problem solved. Set the end play with one new and one old bearing for right now. We'll see how quick I can get a new bearing.

At least you noticed now, and not when starting the engine!

As far as the rear nut, you probably don't need to worry that much about the torque spec; I just rattled mine on with an impact gun and it's been fine for over a year now.
