No cup holders....?

I've noticed that Mazda doesn't like our Rx-7's to have cup holders (im not counting the ones mounting on the inside of the glovebox lid). What does every one use for cupholders? I find myself w/ my pop between my legs. Anyone else have any better ideas?

I use the space inside the driver's arm rest inbetween the front seats. Works really well.

I stick it behind the passanger seat and then lean it back to press against it and hold it in place.

None of the cars I've owned have had cup holders... '88 vw jetta, '88 vw rabbit, '89 toyota pickup... Not exactly sports cars.

Go to Pep Boys, Autozone, Kragen (Shucks/Checker)

They have a two compartment plastic bin type unit with a soft rubber flap ment to slide into the door window channel. However, since it is so soft and thin, pop off the shifter bezel and slide the flap under the right edge of the front (radio/ash tray/HVAC control/HVAC vent) bezel. Large compartment has slot for coffee mug handle, smaller compartment will hold a coke can or your cell phone.

They come in different colors to coordinate with your interior colors. Only need to remember to flip it up when sliding forward the passenger seat.

Big enough to hold hold your super big gulp, deep enough so it won't tip over while you're driving the twisty's, not so big that it cramps passenger leg room, doesn't get in the way of shifting of radio controls as the center consol slide out set ups do, costs about $5, allows the pretty lady sitting next to you to keep her hands free for any other ideas she may have, and it "almost" looks stock.
