No cats and near stock boost?

This isn't really a problem, i just wanted to know if anyone has had this cituation. I recently got rid of my precat and maincat so it is a totally free flowing exaust besides my two mufflers. When under full load my boost gauge will spike at 6psi and then drop down to around 5 (stock boost level). I've heard of ppl hitting fuel cut with an exhaust that still has at least one cat still on it. I'm not complaining and the car runs and pulls hard, i just wanted to pass it by some of you to see what you think.
