Question no aux ports?

i have an 86 n/a, i bought a rebuilt motor off a guy that he had almost evyrthing blicked plated off. i seen that another guy had no aux ports. how can u get rid of them? is their anyway i could tell i dont have them without tearing the motor apart? the motor i bought did have no actuators and the holes were block plated off so i was wondering if maybe he got rid of the aux ports.

I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to actually block the aux ports off on the block. It's more likely that he removed the sleeves to give better flow to them, and blocked off where the actuators connected. You'll see a tiny bit of top end hp over stock, but a significant loss under 3.8k.

Fixing it will be a good bit of work, and you'll probably just want to get a new lower manifold rather than piecing yours back together.

I'd keep it like it is if you don't care about the lost low end. any performance driving i do keeps the engine above at least 4k the whole time so. if you live in a hilly area you might want em tho

I see no significant loss in lowend HP with the actuators forced down. Your setup should have a slightly better low end so I don't think it would be worth it to change them back to stock.

If you haven't noticed any problems, you should just leave it. But that's just my opinion.

^what?
Dyno's show a signifact loss in low end with the ports wired open and i feel it alot. If his where stuck closed he should fix it because it's cuasting him alot hup high. And looking at his location living in PA he might want to have them working cause driving my car on those mountains was a bitch before i wired my ports open. Gotta love that NA rotary low end torque lol
