no afm.. is it ok to crank car to test for spark

the deal is i need a new afm which is supposed to come in the mail but i would like to test my car for spark tonight... would it be ok to crank it without the afm hooked up? the last thing i need is to blow something else up (ecu again).. thanks in advance

The car probably wont run without the AFM, but you're not hurting anything with it disconnected really.
