Anybody know what the black box is to the left of where the blower motor etc is?

If you still want the rest of the HVAC system to work you'll need to take it out, remove the A/C evaporator from within it, and reinstall the empty box.

Personally I use the A/C in my vert as often as I would in a coupe, but our climate is probably more humid than yours.
