no acceleration after 3000 RPM.....HELP
Ok guys, i have a strange one for you...
first, this is a 90 GXL with full TII swap. engine is a jspec, stock turbo, pro cleaned/matched injectors, greddy BOV, stock IC, straight through exhaust, new water pump, koyo radiator, FD alternator, optima yellow-top battery, removed air pump, and new spark plugs.
i have run this car this car for well over a year as my daily driver without any issues. it always starts right up, boosts great and drives awesome.
this issues started a couple of weeks ago. when the car is cold...(sitting overnight) and i start it, it starts fine and runs fine, it will accelerate like there is nothing wrong. it has full power and no smoking. if i run the carfor about 15 minutes the check engine light comes on and the engine will not accelerate past 3000 RPM. it bogs and sputters like it's way rich and you can only drive it if you barely touch the gas. now, if i turn the car off and then start it again...(while warm) it runs perfect for about 30 seconds and then it happens again.
i have all the manuals and i tried to trace down the issue. i set my TPS...(this is my 6th RX7 so i think i got it perfect), i checked the ECU codes, it keeps coming up with codes for the MOP........it's always come up with codes but never for the MOP.
i check the resistance of the MOP at it's connectors and compared them to the manual.....they are not the same.
deductive reasoning tells me that i need a new MOP because it is putting the ECU into "limp mode".......my question is this: has anyone experienced this issue before? and can anybody point to where else i should check?
thanks

i premix every other tank anyway but right now i can't even drive it because of what it's doing. i'm just trying to be sure that the OMP is the issue before i swap it.

As stated the OMP is going out. The stock ECU on a S5 wont let you drive it realy if its dieing. You need to find another OMP and hook it up weather you premix or not. Not saying it needs to inject oil but it must be hooked up to the computer.
Set your TPS.

the TPS is set to the specs listed in the manual so i don't know why it's giving that code.
Thanks Iceblue, i just needed some reassurance that a bad MOP can cause this situation.
