no acceleration

i have a stock n/a and i can't for the life of me get it to accelerate. ive replaced just about everything i can think of, but still no avail. so do any of you have any suggestions on what to try?
it idles perfectly but as soon as you hit the gas it just dies.
ive already replaced the air flow meter and thats how i got it to idle so what else could be causeing this problem?

One good way to find out! Do the ECU test! Just pull your codes.

the exhaust thing is easy. Just unbolt it from the manifold and take it for a quick spin. Very loud. If that doesn't do it which I doubt it because you just rebuilt it check your codes for sure. You may have missed a connector, check that.

mine's still unbolted since i cant afford the other cat yet lol, i bought one new one and cut the second one off, it saddens me not to be able to drive it since its too loud for street driving. Let us know when you get it all fixed up, its a shame not to be able to drive since you have a fresh rebuild

you dont need a codechecker, just a jumper wire to a connector grounded to the neg batt cable, i forget which connector exactly though, then the check engine light blinks if you have issues, i also forget exactly where the writeup is, maybe one of the others will be nice and give you a link, or you can just search, either way is good

88.. No grounding of any check connectors..

You just need the TPS LEDs... DO a search for "pull codes" or somethinglike that

so i just realised im not fully describeing the problem. i can accelerate, i just cant keep it started. but everytime i do manage a steady idle if i hit the gas it dies, unless i tap the pedal and feather it up.

So if you hit the gas it dies unless you hit the gas? That doesn't make any sense.

So, it will die if you don't hit the gas?

If so, I'd guess vacuum leak.

Whistles have huge holes that let out air.

think of your mouth as the intake and the hole in the whistle as the exaust. wistles dont work when they leak

Ah, that would be as tight as blowing a whistle. Not as tight as a whistle. Newho, I'll stop digressing.
