next step in clutches?
Right now I have a bonez street/strip clutch and pressure plate and it is incapable of holding the car. I'm thinking of going to a 4 or 6 puck and retaining the bonez pressure plate. The only thing that bugs me is that most 4 and 6 puck clutchs i've found aren't sprung. Is it a big deal not to get a sprung clutch? Is it going to kill my tranny or am I just going to have a hard time on the street?

I think you may have a 'brand' issue. Get ACT .. they are THE best. The unsprung clutch from what i hear are hardder to drive on the streets ... tend to chatter a bit.. and are a little harder on the tranny. All puck clutches are unsprung. I use ACT's highest powered sprung organic clutch on my car and am yet to have any slipping issues. with a extreme PP. (see sig, Mods and even my clutch model #
) Its good for 340+ FP of torgue .. and torque not HP is the big burden on a clutch ... by default 7's dont have a ton of torque .. usally are HP numbers far exceed torque numbers.
Alot of people will beg to differ about them being harder to drive ... but thats cause they all claim top be 'pro' drivers

I have an ACT 6 puck and I love it. It took a few days to re-learn how to drive the car after it was installed, but now I'm happy as can be and I'll never have to replace the clutch again.

the difference is all in sprung or unsprung if you get sprung then there isnt really a big difference but get unsprung and youll feel what they mean by "harsh" engagement i know of a guy running a stock plate and 6 puck unsprung and it works very well.... but if you just want plate pressure then an ACT max extreme plate is the way to go 90 percent more holding power..... the extreme plate used to be the highest plate they had but now they got the maxxx.... I personally dont like bonez.
i got a good deal on the bonez thats the only reason i got it, I'll look into the ACT clutches, I'm getting ready to go 60-1 pretty soon here so I need a clutch that can hold it. Right now with just my current mods, it ate the bonez in 3 months

I live with CJ, he's my roommate. After breaking in the clutch he used to get wheel spin going into 3rd. Now his clutch is gone, it'll spin when in the boost from the 3-4 shift and the 4-5 shift.

Might I add, wheel spin is not a good thing.
that means your sitting damn near still.
i had a h/d sprung organic cluch in my seven when i bought it and it was dead it couldnt take the hp now ive got a daikin exedy 4 puck brass button with a sprung center and i love it no more slipping its a bit bitey and if you try to slip it will shudder you can get smooth take off just have to get use to it
I have a Bonez Street/Comp. in my N/A and I haven't had any problems with it. I drive hard most of the time and I love the pedal feel and engagement height. So much funner to drive than when it was stock. I don't know if it's just the power of the TII but I haven't had any problems with Bonez in the NA.

looks like I'll look into keeping a sprung clutch. My car is my daily driver, so I need to keep it kinda streetable, I worry about taking off on some of the hills around here with "harsh engagement" from a unsprung.
