NewRebuild problems.High RPMs,then dies??

It started the first try,but it died quick, and seems to flood. The RPMs jump up to like 4k,then it just dies.I can get it to start again for a few second by unplugging the fuel pump, but when I hook the pump back up,it floods again.Plugs are wet with gas.Ive lined up the CAS the way its suppose to be.Ive removed the rat nest, blocked the EGR,removed the air pump.just the whole RPMS shooting up,then dying, then flooding.????Im stumped.

Perhaps the injectors got fubared when the engine was out, have you tested to see if they leak?

Where in kentucky are you at?

Also, it is easier to unflood by pulling the egi fuses under the hood.

If you are near louisville PM me and maybe i can help you out.

Yes,there is spark, left that out.It will start for a few seconds, with the RPMs sky rocketing ,then die, then flood. Then only starts for another second with the fuel pump unplugged.I will get some pics of some suspicious issues,I think might be contributing.I removed the rat nest, and air pump, maybe a Vac leak?

I can only assume a vac leak or a bad bac valve perhaps, double check everything is blocked off. Did you do anything to the wiring? Normally it idles at 3k when first started up.
