Red face Newbie Questions

i own a 87 gxl as a project
how much oil do you put in the engine when doing an oil change?
and
same question for changing the tranny fluid? (5spd)

You need to get yourself a Haynes manual, but the amount of oil and tranny fluid is listed in the car's manual as well.

Fill oil until you hit the normal range on the oil dipstick?
