newbie question...

Hey all,

I see these terms everywhere, but I've never actually seen it said what they mean, I guess everybody just assumes people know What does GTU and GXL mean, and what is the difference between them?

Thanx

GTU and GXL are trim levels on the 2nd gen, or FC.

The GXL was the highest trim level for the non-turbo FCs. It was the luxury model.

The GTU was produced to commemorate the RX-7s great success in racing in the GTU class.

The GTU is more of a sport model (non-turbo), while the GXL is more of a luxury model.

The GTU was named after the IMSA GTU racing class, which stands for Grand Touring Under (Under 2.5L engine). I don't know if the GXL term means anything.
