Newbie Neeed to help plz

I am newbie to tyhis iste and i dont want to offend anyone. I just had a question about my Rx7 taht i just got from a friend. This car the guy had for 1 years. It haven't been driven for a while. They guy could not afford the insurance. So i paid the guy and bought the car off him. The car runs great. bUt the a problem withj it. When i am at high RPM like racing with it. The rpm around 6500 and shift gear i dont know why it shoots out blue somoke for that litle instance. I dont knwo why it is doing that. Just that time when shifting gear it does that. All you rx7 expert cna help me with this. I dont knwow what the prblem can be. In my opinion it might be that car has been used in past year. If i start driving it around more often it might could fix the problem
Sorry if I Flamed. Really could use ur expert experience and knowledge

i'm no expert but alot of rx-7's do that especially if you have an performance exhaust or no cats. it could also be that your apex seals are not seallin perfect anymore. i wouldn't worry about it until it smoke alot at high rpms when your not shifting.

my car does the same, but i have an exhaust system.
it only smokes a tiny bit between shift at 7500rpm +

I would say that your oil control rings are going.

Your looking at a rebuild it its the oil control rings, which could be 1k doin it by yourself or up to 2 or 3k if you have someone else do it. Are you sure its blue smoke and maybe not just black smoke?

Well blue usually means burning oil, so it could very well be your oil control rings going. Which would mean a rebuild is in order.
