newbie doing tii swap needs help!!!

hey guys! well i finally re-wired everything and got the 91 jdm tii motor into my 91 n/a... but i can't seem to get the motor to run. i could get it to turn on... then as soon as it turns, the motor shuts off... it's as if the motor isn't getting any fuel like the injectors aren't firing or something... anybody have any suggestions?

chuck

Is the AFM plugged in? Also, does it catch and then immediately die, or never catch at all?

If your AFM isn't for the TII, it could cause problems. My GSL-SE AFM would let me start the motor, but it would die after about 2 seconds.

It's my understanding from other thread on AFM's that a TII engine will run with a n/a AFM of the same series but may run lean up top. Supposedly the only difference is the TII has a stonger spring so it doesn't move as much for the same volume of air flowing through it as the n/a. Shouldn't prevent the car from starting and running from what I understand. This may sound like a stupid question but are you using a TII ECU?

Fuel lines crossed on the left side of the engine? They are opposite on a JSPEC compared to a USA engine.

AFM is not used during the start cycle, at least not til the engine gets over 500 rpm (approx)
