New turbo II hood cost from mazda.

Just wondering which way to go here. I'd like the T II hood on my car. I 've been looking at carbon fiber hoods for around 500 shipped. Someone told me the fact original hoods were about the same cost? I find that hard to believe...

Thanks

lol my car got hit by hail damge. So my car was pretty much totaled just by looking at the price of the hood. The price for the t2 aluminum hood was $1700 from state farm, and they even said they couldn't find anywhere to buy it. My suggestion buy a used t2 hood or buy aftermarket.

jesus, why would you even consider a new t2 hood for over $1500 when you could get a perfectly good used one for like $200-$300, or an aftermarket fiberglass one for probably $400-$500?

I agree!

It'd be cool if I had a blown big block but theres really no need for it with my setup. My original hood was garbage and someone was selling that one locally cheaper than I could source one anywhere else. Anyway I'd like to get the "sleeper" effect so it just won't do anymore.

It was scaring off all the mousetangs!

What does that have to do with the subject of the thread... It's not pick on the dude with the big hood day! Besides it ran 11's all day long before the new motor setup. It's allowed to have a dorky hood. :P

If you want a stock NA hood i know where you can get a free one, its in good condition too.

MY friend swapped a TII hood on his car because he's using the top mount.
