Unhappy New TII......

Ok, I got the TII to run today, Engine has low compression; will not IDLE below 1500 RPM. It runs like a raped ape above 3500 RPM. Unfortunately I got the Auto-X NA from hell under construction. 5K + in parts laying around. So I have made the decision to offer this car whole for 3 days. If know one buys it....Then it will be parted out.

Make me an offer, If I like it I'll take it. We know how much this car is worth as a carcass.

Last TII hood on Ebay went for 450, and it was steel!!!

I'm not looking to gouge I just want to get a Fair price. Everyone TALKS they would pay 1800-2200 for a complete non running TII.

Yes everyone TALKS but I doubt if anyone would really pay that much for a non running TII. I picked up mine (running but with a blown turbo) for $600. If you want close to that $1800-2000 I think it would be best just to part it out.

Yeah I would take it off your hands for 500. But I am a poor SOB.

1800 and up are a little out of my range.

Did I say I wanted 2K for it? NO!!!!
Would I take 2k for it? Hell yes!

What I was saying is: every SAYS they would pay 1800-2000that when they are talking. When it comes time to put up or shut up??? You know the answer

400-500 NFW, the hood alone is worth almost that. Make a reasonable offer.

No offense but what I paid + 2 alr\t. and a blown NA block is NOT waht I had in MIND!!!

I'm glad you picked up a TII for 600, what did you end up parting it out for? I am offering a complet car for a easonable amount so someeone can have a TII without all the trouble of doing their NA conversions.

Face it, most people are going to put a new engine in it anyway, so start off with what you want.

well... tell us what you want for it, there are NO pictures of the car, just that it doesnt run and is in "decent shape". Didnt mean to offend you with my offer, but you dont want the car and it would be just like you never bought the car and gave you those parts, but, whatever.

Damn that makes me wish the original guy that wanted that car would have got it.. I bet his plans did not include parting it out. Thats just one less TII in the US. You were all excited about your great deal yesterday. I thought to myself; damn he lucked out, and I'm glad it went to a enthusist (spelling??) Another TII will be saved, and back on the road.

But no, cash for it now ... or I part the bitch. Thats just a damn sad thing.. you should have left it where it sat.

Like I said all those who want to keep it whole:
Put up or shut up.

If I din't have 5k + in parts for my NA I would build this but I can't afford 2 major projects.

I did not part it out, it is a project car. I was not trying to flame you but I just think you get more money when you part out the car. Like you said people SAY they would pay that but they never do.

I agree with you last statement that is why I bought my TII because I will rebuild the engine and upgrade the turbo anyway.

Good Luck in selling your car.

I have 2 RX's as it is. I will trade you a fully operational running 87 N/A for that car (just passed CA emissions). I don't have room for a 3rd car or I would take it off your hands with cash, I would have to loose one to gain one. But if you need cash to fix your tractor to drive to work in the morning I understand.

Hawk 7, thanks. Good luck with your project. I am too commited to my GXL auto-x project to back out. If some one wants to buy a new pineapple engine and tranny then I might switch to the tII.

Never Said I don't want it, I just have other prioritys right now that do not involve another engine rebuild.

Hell Rico: how much were you asking for a blown NA with a bent roof?

If it would have been something other than ANOTHER rebuild I would have kept it, but no BAD COMPRESSION. So I think, lots of guys doing NA to TII conversions why not offer the car wholle for a resonable price, no takers than I'll part it out. LAw of Economics. I can MAKE more parting it out, But, I thought I would offer it up whole first..Then the Purists step in. Hey ,put up or shut up. I am at least giving it a shot at life, unike a 10th AE edition that blew its motor north of here. SOOO.. 3 days Reasonable offers. Pics are coming...

Sorry if I sound like a B#$^#h!, but I am catching grief for offering a whole car for sale.

Aluminum Hood 250-450
ECU 45-75
Tranny 150-250
Rearend 150-250
Wheels 50-100
Mirrors 25-50
Door Switches 25-50
Wiring Harness 25-50
Turbo 50-75
fenders 25

Quickie Parts total low: 800 high ~1350

Reasonable Offers are being accepted 3 more days then:

OFF TO THE KNACKER!!!!!!

Ya I say you sell the NA and all the parts and put the money into the TII. You'll be much happier in the end. NAs are a dime a dozen(well not REALLY ).
