New Tid, dropped my intake temps by 20deg...

I had the intake on the turbo, sucking hot air off the radiator before this current setup..

Man, that is one clean engine bay. You've removed just about everything!

Interesting! I wonder if you (or I) could use heat wrap on the TID to make even cooler temps? Anyone ever tried this?
Surely the metal gets some heat soak?
Any idea's?

actually the reflective properties of the chrome help alot. Youd be better off making a cold air box with maybe a duct to the front to ram cold outside air into the box.

I don't come close to 1FastT2; he has bigger chrome turbo, and polished front cover, FMIC..

I got that rice boy pipe from Checker, our local parts store.. Cut it at my dads work to the right size....

I have a Haltech thats how I know my intake temps.. I am seeing about 110deg F.. But thats being light on the car and boosting occasionally.

I'm getting temps around 30 degrees cooler with the stock airbox indicated by my MicroTech...

You should slap a ducted air box on there and see how the temps drop!

Did you just say that?

Running a Turbo with no TII Hood, let alone a fresh air supply to your poor Motor?

What would be REAL funny is if the addition of the TII hood did nothing

There's a good 20-30 degree drop measured at the IC inlet and outlet.
