new T56 internal slave cylinder to T2 trans

Anyone ever attempt this?

this is the part I'm talking about: http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/ho.../photo_03.html

I was thinking about machining an adapter/spacer to go between the T2 trans front cover (http://www.mazdatrix.com/g3.htm) and the t56 trans slave.

This seems like it would be an obvious solution to broken clutch pivots.

Might improve clutch feel, as there would be no pivot or fork to flex.

The question's that would need to be answered are:

Internal diameter of T56 slave

external diameter of T2 sleeve portion of front cover, and thickness if machining would be required.

Length of T56 slave as a complete unit vs where the TO bearing rides on the T2 front cover when the clutch is not engaged.
