New spark plugs and wires i bought.
I just bought NGK spark plug wires, 2 trailing NGK spark plugs, and 2 leading NGK spark plugs... Installed them then raced my buddy with a eagle talon, and when i shifted and like 6 rpm's or 5 rpm's id backfire everytime. It usually didnt do that like ever.
Also theres a weird beeping noise and random times usually when i rev up for a snow drift, but its weird cause the beep sounds like its coming from the driver's side. It didnt do this weird beeping noise before the spark plug and wires install.
Did i install them wrong or what? Or is this just normal i guess?

the beeping may be your rev beep when u hit 6800 it should beep to tell u that u are getting to red line..
as for the backfire it is possible that u are running top notch now.. otherwise maybe u installed them incorrect
what plugs did u use? and what wires (part numbers)

Alright, so no idea which one is trailing or leading for the part numbers but....
Part numbers:
3559 - BUR7EQ
5483 - BUR9EQ
8156 - RC-ZE02 ( Wires )
First numbers are a stock number, not sure if that means anything.
If anyone needs information, it's a 1986 n/a stock with 277k.

I put the trailing on the top and leading on the bottom....Leading are going to the ignition system at the front right beside the washer fluid being the smaller system and trailing plugs are going to the bigger ignition system at the front right back being the bigger one.
Honestly I have no idea what the plugs go to what are called but it says ignition system on it. I feel like an idiot not knowing stuff about my car or atelast not yet.

Does the wire color matter? I don't know If I put mine on wrong or not. I figured the wires wouldn't matter as long as the plugs were connected to the right coils.

Just to add, the plug wires from the leading ignitor, front of engine bay, will go to the lower plugs with a L stamp. It doesn't matter which plug wire to which plug. Your choice.
The wires from the trailing ignitor, rear of engine bay, MUST be connected to a corresponding top or T plug. On the ignitor you will see a 1 and that wire MUST go to the top front plug, and then 2 MUST go to the rear top plug.
I think you'd be greatly more informed if you purchased at least a Chilton manual. It may save some headaches.

correct thats what I was saying about the dot the front top wire should have a white band and the front most coil (near firewall) should have a white dot on it. thus why your wires shoudl correspond with your coils..

So after all your inputs, i checked into it and everything is right.
Didnt hear the buzzer on the drivers side, and I accelerated up to 7 rpm's and shifted. I back fired once again and no beep.
