New Secondary Injectors?
New Secondary Injectors?
So I have been getting the dreaded 3800 rpm hesitation in my 1987 gxl NA for sometime. I ran 3 new grounds, battery to frame, and 2 block related grounds. Still did it, now when ever I put in a mazda approved injector cleaner it goes away for that tank of gas then comes back on next fill. is it safe to say those secondary's need a pull out and good clean or a replace? Thanks.

no sense in pulling 2 injectors and sending them off.Do all 4.
Injectors normally don't just give up.they get dirty,so they would not need replacing unless you want to spend the money just to say they are new!
Witchunter and RC (Kg parts Injector-Rehab) will do your injectors,OR a competent local diesel shop can clean and service them too.

Should try re grounding the ECU and the clean the harness grounds, there is one by the bottom of the drivers strut tower and another ecu ground under some rats nest stuff on top of the engine.
Some re ground the boost sensor as well
Might try that before you spend money you might not need to

I am having a similar issue, it won't let me go over 3800 RPM at all sometimes unless I turn the car off then back on, do you guys think it could be the same thing? Secondary injectors or a ground issue?
It took over a week to get this done due to work and school, but I would like to say I got the 5 point HKS ground kit direct from HKS and hooked it up like above said and bam good clean runs. Thanks guys!
