k. i recently purchased an 88 mazda rx7 se. i have replaced the air filter, plugs and wires. the person b4 thought it had a fuel prob so everything fuel wise has been replaced. also, he cut off all three catalytic converters to see if that was the problem. the car has hardly any pick up. it is a little faster at higher rpms and will chirp second. if anybody can narrow down my problems id appreciate it. also found an 87 se for 500 bucks. runs and drives perfect but the guy said the only reason why he parked it was because it smokes. wut could be causing this? it has new plugs.

 

I'll be the first one to say... compression test! Find out what color the smoke is from the 87 it could be too much fuel...coolant...oil who knows.
