Clutch Issues

I've had my 7 (5 spd '88 GXL) for about 4 months now (formerly NicPre's). Overall I am really loving it. Yesterday morning, however, she began giving me some trouble.
About two days ago I had a little trouble starting her, I didn't think much of it, until I tried to put her into reverse. It ground real bad. So I put it in first, then second, then fifth and finally she went into reverse. It was kind of hard to put her into gear. After shifting a few times to get to the end of my road, it was shifting like normal. Again, I didn't think much of it. Yesterday I got it her and she would barely start at all, I had to put the clutch to the floor hard. I noticed that the clutch didn't give much resistance. It was almost impossible to get it into gear. Now she won't even start at all. When I come to a stop in gear with the clutch pushed in she will barely stay started.
I think it must be a problem with the clutch (I thought of that all by myself). I am hoping that it needs adjustment and not to be replaced. So I guess what I am saying is...Does anybody want to drive to my house and fix my car for free? No? Ok, well then...Does anybody have any idea how (or if) you can tighten her down? I am no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, but I assume that the pedal can be adjusted in some way.
I appreciate your input. Thanks guys.

Probably the clutch master (firewall)/slave cylinder(bell housing). Check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder on the firewall by the brake booster. If low add brake fluid. If empty it will need to be bleed after filling, but this would indicate one of the units have gone bad.

yes sirE. i just went thru that, and it was the slave that was shot. AdvancedAutoparts sells the rebuild kits for like $23.00 total for both rebuilds. also drop another 11.00 bux for a new hose, they call it a brake hose, but its for the clutch. when you at a stop, pump it a few times to make it build some type of pressure again to at least make you put it in gear.
